Wylie ISD
I am a lifelong educator who loves dogs more than people, hates tomatoes and mornings, and would spend at least part of every day at Target, if I could. I have a black lab named Bailey who absolutely adores me (and I her!), and a 12 year old daughter named Reagan whom I adore, but the feeling is not always mutual (she is very 12). I have been married to the same man, Brian, for 21 years. We went to college together at the University of Arizona where I got my bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics, and then went to work in insurance. After realizing insurance is dumb and boring, I came back to Texas in 1996. I then enrolled at the University of Texas-Dallas and got my teaching certification in 1997. I began my career in Allen ISD at the middle school level before leaving the classroom to become a district instructional specialist in social studies and gifted education. In 2009, I decided to begin my master’s in secondary education at Texas A&M-Commerce. I completed that and my principal certification in 2012. I moved to Wylie ISD in 2012 as a High School Learning Specialist, and was moved to my current role as Director of Recruitment and Retention in 2014. I absolutely love my job! I love sharing what is great about Wylie with anyone who will listen!
