Andrew Peters has served as teacher, administrator, CFO, and Superintendent in Texas public schools for the past thirty years. He holds degrees from Corpus Christi State University and University of Houston at Victoria. He has held leadership positions with Texas Association of School Boards, Equity Center, and served in various committees at local Education Service Centers. Peters started his career in education as a second grade teacher in Bay  City, Texas.  He was an original facilitator for the first TEA Reading Academies. He created a public Montessori program for 3 year olds to 12 years olds in 2012 that is still serving students in a small west Texas community.  Mr. Peters has created state-licensed day care centers to serve the ISD employees, including a center in Caldwell that has a strong educational support program for the babies – four year old children of the District’s employees.  Mr. Peters has established three private education foundations to support his teachers including one in the Caldwell Education and Leadership Foundation.   He enjoys presenting to college students who have an interest in becoming a teacher. He has presented to classes and clubs at University of Houston, Sul Ross University and Texas A & M.  Peters is an active supporter of the Texas A & M AggieTerm program, committing to support four to eight resident teachers each year for the next three years.
