Beth Black ’88 earned her bachelor’s in Curriculum and Instruction and is passionate about early childhood education and beginning reading. She and her husband, Don ’87, have two children, Brenna and Bailey who are both in college. They have lived internationally in both Argentina and Brazil as well as in New York and Connecticut. They currently reside in Houston. Beth volunteers her time with the National Charity League, the Texas Lyme Disease Association, and with Gracewood, a non-profit devoted to helping single mothers and their children achieve a better life. Having served Spring Branch ISD as a second grade teacher, Beth also gives several hours of her time each week as a reading tutor at Spring Branch Elementary. She and Don recently established the Garver Family Foundation Education Scholarship to help Aggie students during their clinical teaching semester.
