Carolyn graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics Education. After student teaching in Spring Branch ISD, they hired her to teach at Spring Woods High School. Carolyn’s teaching experience extends from pre-school through adult education – for private and public organizations, and education remains one of her chief passions. Carolyn enjoys following Aggie sports, needle point and traveling. Throughout their 54 year marriage, she and her late husband, Tommie, attended hundreds of Aggie sporting events and traveled to each of the seven continents. The Lohmans have two daughters: Caroline and Amber, and four grandchildren: Cason, Tommy, Will and Carly. Carolyn was the driving force behind the College of Education and Human Development’s “Shaping the Future” sculpture on the Texas A&M Campus.
