Jean earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas Woman’s University in Health, Recreation and Physical Education with a minor in English, and her master’s in English from McNeese State University. She married her husband, Skip, and following his career, taught in Virginia, Texas, Louisiana and the Netherlands. Now a resident of College Station, Jean volunteers at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum as an education docent, and plays piano for her church and at special events. She is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, P.E.O. and an active member of First Baptist Church, Bryan. Jean has three children, three granddaughters and one great granddaughter. She enjoys playing tennis, bridge and traveling.
