Kathy, a retired counselor from Plano West Senior High School, has a real passion for education and preparing individuals for a career in education. Kathy received her bachelor’s degree in math from Southern Methodist University and a master’s in counseling and student services from the University of North Texas. Although Kathy herself isn’t a Texas A&M University graduate, she is surrounded by Aggies in her family: husband, Mike; daughter, Christy; son, Andy; and daughter-in-law, Lindsey. Kathy has 22 years in the education field including teaching and counseling, and has made an impact on the lives of many of her students. Kathy is very active in the Dallas community serving in several volunteer roles including a docent at the George W. Bush Presidential Library as well as a serving on the marketing and outreach committee for the TAMU Press Advancement Board.
