Dr. Olga Gentry is a lifelong Laredoan who currently serves as Principal of her alma mater, St. Augustine High School. She’s been an educator since teaching at Laredo ISD in 1986. Dr. Gentry did most of her undergraduate and graduate studies in the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University, including a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Administration. She is passionate about education and its effect on one’s life trajectory. Dr. Gentry has also made it her mission to develop students who value education and take advantage of their college opportunities to not only get a degree but contribute to their institution. She and her husband Richard Gentry ’86 have volunteered to help Laredo students apply to Texas A&M for 25 years. They also work closely with the Aggie Mother’s Club, the A&M Club and the Prospective Student Center in Laredo.
