La Grange, Texas
Sarah holds a BA in English from Sam Houston State University and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University. She retired after a 45-year career in public education serving as a school counselor for 28 of those years. In that role, Sarah fostered a climate where fewer than 10% of students pursued additional education to one that saw 100% applying and being accepted to a college, university or training program. For these accomplishments, she was named an honorary lifetime member of the Texas Association for College Admission Counselors. Sarah is married to an Aggie veterinarian, Mike Mabry. They have three sons, John, Milam and Travis; two daughters-in-law, Lindsay and Traci; and four grandchildren, Rileigh, Tatum, Ben and Margaret. She has been active in many organizations over the years and is currently a member of the Texas Farm Bureau and St. James Episcopal Church in La Grange.
