Ellen and Rod ’63 Thornton

Ellen has a B.S. from Florida State University andan M.Ed. from Florida Atlantic University. She also studied at the College of William and Mary and Sam Houston State University. Ellen spent 30 years as an educator, both as a teacher and as an administrator. She currently teaches part time at the Student Learning Center at Texas A&M, and is a community volunteer. After graduating from TAMU, class of ’63, Rod spent 38 years working for the Federal Government, both in the Air Force, and as a civilian. Rod earned an M.Ed. from Wayne State University. His most recent position was that of Deputy Director for the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation. He is currently retired and is a community volunteer.
