Lauren Hummel ‘25, a current education student at our school, carries love for her hometown and the desire to become an educator near and dear to her heart. Guided by the influence of her mother and former English teacher, Mr. Bugg, she set out on her journey to becoming a teacher herself. She often visits her hometown to assist Mr. Bugg in the judging of his end of the semester project, which consists of students presenting an idea for an app on a topic of their choosing to a panel of judges, similar to the game show “Shark Tank.” Lauren is currently a member of Aggies Against Cancer. After graduation, she plans to become a teacher at her alma mater, Bridgeland High in Cypress.
