Dr. Hajovsky Elected Fellow in the American Psychological Association
Dr. Daniel Hajovsky of our Department of Educational Psychology has been elected one of the newest Fellows of the American Psychological Association (APA) for his outstanding contributions in the field of psychology.
Hajovsky’s career spans 10 years, including four in our college, where he currently chairs the School Psychology Program. He has worked tenaciously to push the bounds of scientific knowledge and has demonstrated measurable impacts on the field. His research includes focusing on the interrelationships of cognition, executive functioning and academic success and how a child’s background and development influence their education. “My work has been driven by a commitment to advancing psychological science to improve the lives of children and adolescents,” said Hajovsky. “As I continue forward, I remain humbled by all the profession has given me and hope to contribute in ways that reflect that enduring gratitude.”
Hajovsky joins fellow Educational Psychology faculty Drs. Jeffrey Liew, Linda Castillo, Lizette Ojeda, Oi-Man Kwok and Charles Ridley among those who have earned this prestigious honor. His APA Fellow status will take effect on January 1, 2026.
