CEHD ranks among top 10 online programs in latest rankings
The College of Education and Human Development remains one of the top 10 best online graduate programs in the country.
The 2021 U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs rankings, released today, list the college’s online graduate programs as 10th in the country.
“This reflects a concerted effort to support our world-class faculty to design and deliver high-quality courses,” said Joyce Alexander, Dean of the college. “We are proud of this national recognition, but more pleased with the impact we are having right here in the state of Texas. We are working to reach graduate students where they are, so they don’t have to travel to us.”
For the second year, U.S. News also included four rankings of education specialties offered online at the master’s level – educational administration and supervision, curriculum and instruction, educational/instructional media design and special education. The college is ranked 9th, 6th, 9th and 8th respectively.
The purpose of these rankings is to help guide prospective students who are interested in pursuing a degree or coursework with one of these focuses. For each specialty, respondents were asked to volunteer up to 15 institutions they believed had strength in these areas.
The college also received high ratings in best online master’s education programs for veterans, ranked 4th in the country.
U.S. News focused on five general categories to establish this year’s rankings: engagement, expert opinion, faculty credentials and training, services and technologies, and student excellence.
