SEHD Professor’s Impact on Early Childhood Education Beyond Texas
-Dr. Hope Gerde, a professor in the School of Education and Human Development, is influencing early childhood education beyond Texas. Prior to joining SEHD, she collaborated on an educational pilot program in Michigan that received 2.2 million dollars in funding through a state bill recently signed into law.

CEHD Plays Key Role in Early Childhood Education Conference
-The College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University is committed to promoting early childhood education. In April, CEHD played a key role in the first-ever conference for the Brazos Valley chapter of the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children. Several faculty members and grad students shared their research and advice with early childhood education workers in the Bryan-College Station area.

A delegation from Kenya visited the Texas A&M campus in College Station and the Texas A&M Bush School of Government and Public Service, Washington, D.C. Teaching Site. The visits were part of a Memorandum of Understanding between us and the Kenyan Ministry of Education.
